Variation Regularity and Measurement of Zero-Sequence Inductance of Fractional Slot Concentrated Winding PMSMs

The zero-sequence inductance is a vital parameter for the performance analysis of permanent magnet machines, especially under faulty conditions or in open-winding machines. This paper focuses on calculation fractional slot concentrated winding synchronous machines (FSCW-PMSMs), and reveals variation regularity this kind its various components against pole/slot combinations, using function finite element methods. Moreover, based 36-slot FSCW-PMSMs with different pole numbers, dependency each component combination discussed detail. To validate regularities, experimental measurements are implemented prototype stator. It found that regularities independent specific which provide guidelines optimum selection, to mitigate problems caused by current.
